Just got off the phone with a guy who wanted to ask me about #entrepreneurship. Ya know...I let people talk and dig a hole for themselves before I get flip. He wanted to tell me about how he read Think and Grow Rich and Rich Dad Poor Dad. I said thats cool...I have too. He also wanted to tell me how he has studied 50 Cents business plan and what his plan was for business. I too have studied 50 Cent (as well as others) so I asked him, how can I help? (Remember, he called me) He wanted me to help him break down what he is doing and simplify that in order to get some venture capital. I said Ok, but I dont work for free. I aint even gone tell yall that this dude got smart...saying I should just help a brother trying to come up and I aint on no type of level...blah blah blah...ok...ooooh saaaah (remember, he called me) I told him I guess the people that we mentioned, those book authors and 50 cents, sent you to voicemail. I told him that you called me for a reason. I told him that even though we have read the same books and studied some of the same people, I have not punched a time clock or worked a regular job since 2007 so I must be doing something right. And I asked, where did you say you worked again...Burger King? Chile bye. I have a hard time understanding why people ask you for help and then try to belittle your knowledge, experience and fee for services. For seven, going on eight years, nobody has written my paycheck but me. And for that, I wont tolerate disrespect from people asking for help. #itmustbemonday
