Just got the best email ever. Emmas adopter contacted me, and sent me these pictures! I know for all of my friends who have followed Emmas progress with WAG and here with me in my home, this will be welcome news to you as well! Here is the email: I am the person who has adopted Emma and I have your write up about her and request for an update on her. I live in PA so that was a long way for her to travel. I have a 6 year old coonhound who is an American Red Cross therapy dog. Emma has been doing well since she arrived although she was very clingy to me at first. She is settling in and has seems happy. I have a fenced in yard and we go for two ½ hour leash walks each day so she gets plenty of exercise. I took her to meet the coordinator of our dog therapy program yesterday to be evaluated for temperament and she played with the coordinator’s dog and my dog in a fenced field. Our coordinator thinks she has a great temperament to be trained for therapy. My plan is to start formal training next month but I have already begun to work on down and come. She has a wonderful controlled sit and a soft mouth taking treats. Thanks to you for that! She is so willing to please. Even if she doesn’t pass therapy dog training, she will make a wonderful pet for me and companion for my other dog. Thanks for the part you played in her life. She has her forever home now and if she passes her evaluation for therapy, she will be able to be part of an outreach to others in our community. My coonhound and I go to Ronald McDonald House twice a month and also visit schools, libraries, rehabs, support groups and nursing homes. I am a person of faith and I prayed for the dog that would be just right for me and He gave me Emma. I’m so happy to have her! Attached some pictures
