Just gotta get this off my chest. I am not a model. I have modeled, I have worked as one, but just because I make a coffee doesnt mean Im a freakin barista. Much respect to everyone who is a model, its not as easy as it looks. I am a musician, and an actor. Im lucky to have worked with great photographers and to have booked some awesome shoots, but just cause I have some great shots and Ive had an opportunity to work with great artists doesnt make me a model. Im a musician and an actor. Nikki minaj has a contract with M.A.C. Is she a model? Beyoncé has a contract with revlon and H&M, does that mean shes a model? Yes they model products but that is not what they primarily do and its not what theyre known for. It means they are artists that market themselves, photo shoots are part of the entertainment industry. Ive never thought of myself as a model and never aspired to be one I just got some awesome opportunities. I went to college for acting on scholarship and left to join a girl band and toured in Europe for 2 years. Ive wanted to be a singer ever since I was 3, acting since 7. That is who I am and what I do. Please think of my profession as what Ive spent my entire life building and pursuing. Dont confuse my passion for a job Ive had for a year.
