Just had a call from my 41 year old son, the truck driver. He was crying, I couldnt understand him. Finally got a few facts. someone hit a dog in Busby Mt. No one stopped. Casey pulled over and picked the dog up which happened to be right outside the Post Office. He took the dog in to see if they knew whose it was. He was met with harsh words and told to get it out of the post office as it was probably from the reservation and they didnt care. He called the vet clinic in Hardin Mt and they would not even look at the dog even though Casey said he would pay for the care. So he called the pound in Hardin Mt and they said they would check the dog and treat and then take to the pet rescue there if the dog was not hurt too badly. It would cost 200.00 to leave the dog there. Casey assured them that he would pay the 200.00 and would also stop through on the way back to follow up on the dogs care and where abouts. His question to me was, Mom, how can people be so cruel. I have no answer for him.
