Just had a gentleman in a wheelchair ask for some cold water, his mouth was so dry from medication that hes taking. When I handed him a cup of ice water he acted so appreciative and after he took a drink you could hear the relief. I went back to my desk and cried thinking about how when Jesus was on the cross, had been beaten upon recognition, nails through his hands and feet, all he asked for was just a drink of water, his mouth was so dry. And even after the torture that he had endured, he was not even granted a single drop of water. I cant even begin to fathom the pain that he endured and to be teased and tortured and not even a drop of water while giving his life for you and I. Really puts a different perspective on Christmas and I think it was no coincidence what happened today, it was a reminder to me of what my Lord and Savior went through for me. We need to take a minute out of our busy schedules to Thank him for dying on the cross and rising again. Merry CHRISTmas
