Just had a group of 15-20 elk walk through. Nearly all had hoof rot with limping and some very thin, bulls, cows and calves. The Washington Department of Wildlife has a web page set up to report observations of elk hoof rot: wdfw.wa.gov/conservation/health/hoof_disease/ It was very sad to see let alone the high percentage affected. There are more and more reports of dead elk and diseased elk found in our area.
