Just had a real emotional and intense conversation with an Elder Black Womyn Panther regarding the immense amount of disappointment and contempt for the president for pouring$265 million into the nations police force as a means of reformism. She pointed out her surprise at this generations uproar at the loss of black life and the confusion at the goal were aiming at. I asked her how we can sustain our multidimensional movements, this time around so it doesnt die like so many uprisings in spans of political generations. She said people have to care enough and have to be willing to create real radical change not only as individuals but to change the collective awareness. Among other things that were less encouraging. She says well never get what we want without being able to articulate to the mass what we want. That repression breeds resistance breeds repression breeds resistance. She said shes done it all before and she has. Tho we have to know our hxstory in order to not make the same mistakes. There was so much upset and rage in her voice for a black womyn whos been agitating for resistance for 40 years, it was infectious enough to bring both of us to tears. Black people have done a lot for each other. We must keep rising. #AllPowerToThePeople #BlackRage
