Just had a very emotional and convicting morning! We didnt have hot water in our apt last night or this morning and I was irritated to the extreme for not being able to take a hot shower especially this morning before heading out to feed the homeless. Needless to say I became extremely emotional and humbled as soon as I started facing the homeless and seeing their dirty clothes and getting a whiff of their unbathed bodies, which immediately made me wonder when it had been the last time they had had a chance at a hot shower... Not to mention how eagerly they accepted the lunch bags we handed out and really facing once again the conditions they have to live in. God showed and taught me a lesson in gratitude and humility today. And, once again, I am realizing how much more grateful I need to be for all the blessings in my life and I want to wish all my American friends and family a very Happy Thanksgiving! (Hot water was fixed this morning too; God is too good to me.)
