Just had the horrible thought that with the new legislation going through parliament next week, ASI-O could hack in and wipe the FB accounts of everyone who has criticized the govt or these new powers (or Fracking or deforestation etc etc) and we couldnt do anything about it. Having sent out email invites yesterday (for my Sydney book launch - Melb still to go) it made me realise how dependent on FB Ive become for keeping connected. So if your email address has changed and you havent sent out notices.. maybe this is a good time to do that. Our ability to connect and network is more important than ever. I guess they could wipe out our email accounts and address books too, but having multiple ways to connect might be a little safer.. Am I being paranoid?
