Just had the most fabulous night at Symphony Hall Birmingham watching Hugh Laurie and the Copper Bottom Band. I nearly didnt bother going and I would have missed the best show I have ever seen there. The standing ovation went on forever and they had to return to the stage twice and sing again. I feel like I have just spent the last 3 hours in a cellar in New Orleans in prohibiton time. The singers with him were amazing. Old fashioned jazz as it should be played.
