Just have to share this again. These two little dogs just fill me with joy. Jack (red staffy) had an awful life, abused, neglected and left outside. He has an old leg injury, probably a broke leg that was left and re healed wrong. His ears are totally closed up and he is totally deaf. We rescued him from Wales and it took months for him to even lift his head off the sofa unless it was for food or the toilet. Trudy the little black staffy girl has some terrible scaring on her body and has clearly been physically abused. She is a very nervous girl, but since they have been together they have just blossomed, it was meant to be! I almost cried today when my mum rang me and told me that whilst she was washing up Trudy came into the kitchen and they happened to catch eye contact. As mum looked into her eyes Trudy cowered on the floor in fear. What this poor girl has been through I do not know. She is the most affectionate and obedient little girl I have ever met. So glad that we were able to help them and bring them together. They will both live together for the rest of their lives in a very happy home with my mum. It brings tears to my eyes thinking about what they have been through, but they turn to happy tears to think that they will NEVER have to feel that fear or pain again. THIS is why the sleepless nights after seeing abused animals is worth it. To see the happy ending. THIS IS WHY WE DO IT!
