Just heard about the death of The beloved Billed Barry today, coincedentaly while in my acting class in New York City. I am so wonderfully grateful for this woman and for the influence she has had on my life and my love and passion for the arts. She was a very special woman who had a gift for seeing the gold and potential in all of her students and inspired each one of us to be the best version of our little selves. She was one of the first women in my life who inspired me to perform, to smile and do always do better. This was a woman you wanted to make proud and if you did your best (and did not show up late or miss a rehearsal or forgot to learn your song -bold Mammy!) she always was. The lessons, the discipline and the attention to detail she taught are huge parts of how I live my life. Thank you Miss Barry for your wonderful laughter, love and lessons (and the 50ps you gave me) I am eternally grateful. You and Lorraine have always been a big part of my oscar speech which I practised religiously in the mirror when growing up ;) I highly doubt I am alone in this, your memory will live on in thousands of peoples lives. I am so grateful for you and the wonderfully talented friends I have met because of you. We are lucky to have known such a classy and wonderful example of a woman.
