Just heard on the radio that Putin called Snowden a Christmas present. I find the whole situation ironic and disturbing all at the same time. Ironic because Snowden set out as a diluted moral crusader and now he is requesting (and will probably receive) asylum in a country that is the very incarnation of everything he so righteously claimed to be fighting against. Disturbing because what he tells them (which could be a whole host of things) will be used against his own country and people and you have to know Russia will employ their many varied methods of information extraction to wring every last drop out of him.
