Just heard the sad news that my long time childhood friend, Chris Traverse, passed away this evening after a long ,hard fought battle with ALS. For those of you who knew Trav, he was a real battler and faced this awful disease head on and with lots of courage while never feeling sorry for himself. Trav was a friend to all he met. He was caring and giving of his time and energy be it at Medford Boat Club where he taught sailing or coaching youth hockey in a Medford. He would help anyone in need ,and was quite the practical joker with a great sense of humor and a love of life. You will be missed by so many, Trav. RIP my friend.
