Just how keen is the Ministry of Health in protecting Kenyans from the Ebola outbreak that has killed more than 1,000 people in Sierra Leone, Guinea and Liberia? A Kenyan on Wednesday was forced to go on social media saying that she and her family travelled from Liberia via Cairo and finally to Kenya but were not screened at JKIA as has been repeatedly claimed by the ministry. This even after the woman and her.family presented themselves for screening. With Ebola having a 90 per cent mortality rate and Kenya having been declared a Level Two high infection risk area, the MoH ought to do a lot better in protecting Kenyans. -Corridors of Power August 15 2014.
