Just in: Chinese police killed three unarmed civilians, and possibly a toddler, in violent clashes with tens of thousands of residents and villagers who have been protesting against the construction of a garbage incinerator near Hangzhou city, Zhejiang province. According to witness accounts on weibo and WeChat. A witness on WeChat said riot police killed a three-year-old child by throwing the kid off an expressway overpass after snatching the child from the mothers arms. An old man died after police beat him and threw him off the expressway overpass. A number of people have been wounded in the violent clashes, scores have been arrested. Witnesses say riot police targeted senior citizens, pushing them off highway bridges or into the river. Thousands of police forced their way into the protesters after a 4 day stand-off. More than 30,000 people have been gathering around the site of the proposed construction of the incinerator power plant at Jiufeng Village, Zhongtai County of Hangzhous Yuhang District (杭州余杭区中泰乡九峰村). They blocked major expressways and roads, and smashed about two dozen police vehicles when police beat them with rocks and batons.
