Just letting friends and family know that Ive made some itinerary changes and will be entering the longer phase of my trip a tad sooner than I originally planned. After hopping around from city to city, my body and soul are eager to get out of dodge for a bit. So with that in mind.... Ill be taking a flight to Japans northern main island of Hokkaido either today or tomorrow. So far Ive been taking local trains everywhere and while its a great way to see the country, trekking up to Hokkaido via this route is not time effective and it will cost me plenty more in the long run. So...Ill be flying either tomorrow (the 12th) or the next day (the 13th), and will be spending the rest of my time in Hokkaido until I return to Tokyo on the 26th.
