Just like a physician needs a license to practise & has an organization looking over his licensing requirement & certification maintenance, a lawyer cannot practise before he passes his exam, a driver cannot drive before he passes his test, a pilot cannot fly before certain minimum requirements..... We must set up a licensing process for all the religious scholars in all the mosques of the country. They must be able to pass a MCQ test designed to uncover extremism in them. They must follow the real ISLAM & not their version of Islam. Now that we are having so many fatalities in every nook & corner of Pakistan thanks to the hatred speeches of these so-called religious scholars, we must act emergently to institutionalize the department of religious scholars. A central department that co-ordinates with all the religious scholars of Pakistan, ensures that they pass their test & have a license to practise as an Imam of the mosque. Any extremist scholar must be isolated & jailed. Trust me.... If we did not do this, we will not be able to overcome terrorism. If allopathic medicine killed this many Pakistanis from wrong medicine, the institution would have been closed. If a pilot would have showed negligence leading to a crash & fatalities, he would have had his license suspended. Then, why are we still letting extremist leaders practise extremism & making others follow their erroneous version of Islam. All religious leaders must have a license to practise as Imams & this license must not be given until & unless they are confirmed as non-extremists. Once the license is given, if there is any evidence of extremism by that scholar his license must be suspended.
