Just mage myself incredibly homesick writing about #Wellington. #NewZealand for Lifestyle and Travel Mag! "The city of Wellington, grasps tightly to the edge of the Cook Strait on the North Island of New Zealand’s southern tip, as if in ready preparation for its next brush with nature. And nature there is in abundance- fresh, wild and unashamed. Mother nature is exuberant and yes- occasionally (living up to its ‘Windy-Wellington” reputation), a bit tempestuous. Raw-and-ready, the coastline is outlined by evergreen and ever-present hills that have wrinkled and craggy faces, as if from too much time spent squinting at the endless-blue antipodean sky. Wellington’s spectacular natural harbour is dotted with ferries making their way to the South Island; yachts; windsurfers; kayakers and surfers all taking full advantage of the city’s ubiquitous winds. Fishermen and scuba divers take advantage of the plentiful sea-life too. The harbour teems not only with fish, but also dolphins, seals, orca, sperm whales- and even the gargantuan southern right, humpback and blue whales, (which to the delight of the lucky onlooker) take a break from their feasting in the rich depths of the Cook Strait canyons in the harbour’s relative warmth and shelter..."
