Just met with the Cardiologist to hear the official plan for monday. She will be second case, which means she will go in around 3/4pm. Surgery could be anywhere from 2-6 hours, depending on which procedures they decide to do. The most basic, and where they will start is with an aortapexy. If they determine its necessary to do more, they will move onto a pulmonary artery pexy. If those do not bring about the desired result or if the structure of the bronchial tube is abnormal, things get much more complicated. At this point she would have to be put on the heart/lung machine and they will do a LaCompte maneuver and/or a sliding tracheoplasty. This could put surgery well into the night on Monday. The risks are great and a bit frightening. We covet all your prayers as there will be many spur of the moment decisions being made that day. The doctors will need wisdom, to be sure they do enough, but not do more than necessary!! We trust The Lord will hear our prayers, guide the surgeons, and go before us to make this a successful surgery for our girl. ‘Ah, Lord God!
