I am only on stage for two scenes in this play, they occur back to back, and they are important scenes that set up a lot of the action and reasoning for the main character later in the play. During the crucial gun range scene, when Im trying to explain to the lead character why she should feel a certain way about shooting a gun, suddenly theres this tweeting sound from the audience. Its a small theater were performing in, and the sound was really loud. For a minute, I thought a bird had flow in to the theater and in my head I was thinking Wow, she scared a bird with the staged gunshot which I found humorous. It took EVERY OUNCE of stage presence not to laugh. Wow, that was tough. But now I know I can get through it!
