Just parked outside Sub City to grab a to-go sub. After a brief risk/reward assessment I decided to gamble and didnt feed the parking meter. While nervously glancing out the window, I hurried through the line. Thats when I noticed the meter maid making his way towards my car. As I neared the end of the line, I gathered the perfect change in my hand so I could grab my sub and beat the meter maid back to my car. I was pretty confident Id escape this situation without a ticket. Thats when I realized the person in front of me accidentally took my sub. It took them a good 5 minutes to find my sub and sort everything out. As I jogged out of the building, I immediately felt a sense of $10 dread as I watched the meter maid write me up. I ran up to him and asked him to stop scribbling. He predictably told me I was 30 seconds too late. Since this is America and our favorite pastime is assigning blame, I cant help but wonder: who is to blame for this? Myself? Sub City employees? The dude that accidentally took my sandwich? The meter maid? Everyone?? No one? As I sit and eat my effectively $20 sandwich, Ive come to the conclusion that I can only blame one person for this: Barack Hussein Obama. #RandPaul2016
