Just pondering. I just saw the news where scientists now believe that the water on earth is older than the sun...that water vapor, as it were, was in a cloud like state even before our galaxy. As one who believes in intelligent design but who is not a literalistper say, I still see the Bible as inspired with meaning and explanation, all be it through a mirror darkly. However, to me the entire thought of ancient waters in vapor form throughout the deep of space is remarkably. Once again a scientific discovery is revealing just how deep are some of the thoughts of those who wrote the Old Testament (and were inspired in that writing). Im stunned by this from Genesis.... And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. Genesis 1:2. We are so used to the symbol of light in the Bible, that we tend to not think about the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. WOW. As a literary and metaphysical and religious insight of an explanation for beginning is not that pretty spot on? We see the theme re-stated in terms of the living waters of the new Testament. Science never to me disproves God...rather...God the Creator-Designer seems to be re-revealed at every step of our understanding, provided we dont use the Bible as a scientific blueprint but rather as a source of truth beyond our understanding.
