Just posting this because I like being informed by others when this happens to them. Yesterday the battery on our 2001 Cav died when Andrew got to work. He got it to start but decided to run it to Sears on his lunch quickly to get the battery tested. They called him to say the battery was bad and told him it would be about $120-$130 ( or somewhere in that range). The cav is older and we dont plan on having it much longer so Andrew asked if they had a cheaper battery to which they said that the next cheapest was only $5 less so he told them to go ahead not knowing any better. Well, Ive replaced my battery before and it cost a fraction of that so I called Blaines who told me they could do the same thing for $66 for battery AND install. So I told Andrew to mention that and see if they price matched at Sears and came to find out when he went in that they LIED TO US! They had lower priced batteries but they were out of them at the moment. They ended up giving us $20 off our $150 dollar bill, so basically took the installation fee off. Lets just say I hadnt gone to Sears before and I sure wont be going again...
