Just read an article in the paper by the Associated Press about more military families on bases/posts are gearing more toward home schooling for their kids to ease the hardship of transition of moving so frequently. Are they kidding me? Being in a new school every 3 years or so helped make me the person I am today. Im able to talk to practically any one and I can adapt to my environments easily. With the advances in technology and kids being glued to their play stations and computers, how are they ever going to learn how to socialize? Im not against home schooling, but I think for a military brat, its important to be able to adapt quickly and I think its doing them a great disservice. Then again times are very different when I was growing up in the 80s. What do you all think?
