Just received Shifting Shadows book and audiobook today. While Mike and I painted carousel horses in the living room (the garage was 90+ degrees) we listened to Silver. We used a new narrator for the male voice--Alexander Cendese. I was very happy with him--his Welsh accents sounded very good to my American ears. I am leary of accents, having listened to a lot of very bad Irish accents on audiobooks and on TV. You Welsh natives out there may disagree, but my ear (honed on Torchwood/Dr. Who) says that hes pretty good. I also didnt mind his womens voices at all--which is unusual for me. The book, with its Dan Dos Santos cover, is beautiful. Its also pretty hefty--a little longer than my usual books. I am as pleased as punch. And celebrated by going out and kissing real pony noses. They didnt care about the book--but were pleased with the attention.
