Just received an incredible donation from a beyond awesome ward member for my nephews toy drive. Literally almost brought me to tears. I know I didnt say too much about it in church, but if anyone wants more information about Connors toy drive here it is: Connor was born with a severe case of bilateral clubbed feet, and since he was just two days old he has endured countless surgeries and bracing systems. Two years ago Connor was accepted into the Shriners program, an event that not only had a positive affect on his treatment, but also eased the tens of thousands of dollars of financial strain put on his parents. Now, at four years old, Connor has decided to do something special for the other boys and girls at the foot hospital. He and his family have set a goal of donating 100 new toys to the Shriners children before Christmas time. If you can, please help this little boy spread a little Christmas joy to his friends in need. In order to minimize the transmission of germs, Shriners only asks that toys be new and still in packaging; no stuffed animals. New books/coloring books are permitted. Monetary donations are also accepted. Collecting will cease on the last day of November. If you are able, please dont hesitate to donate to this great cause. A box for donations will be in the Student Success Center and Im also hoping to get one set up at the institute. You can also just bring anything over to apartment 7J. Any questions, feel free to contact me. My phone number is 2083576694. Thanks guys!
