Just received my ICT notice for next year, starting from 4th May 2015, well it was my enlistment date back then in 2011. I was just like any other ordinary boys who hated NS ( as its a waste of time and I dont see a point defending this useless country, which stands firm in my mind till now). However, putting all these negative thoughts aside, without NS, I wouldnt be refurbished to what I am now. It was NS that makes me think through to live without regrets and to look forward in life. It also made me to be more toelrant towards different kinds of people and also people who are tolerant towards me, everyone has their strength and weaknesses. Sharing thoughts and life experience with fellow camp mates or even superiors can show us how we can do better in life. Because of these, I have made a lot of friends whom I am close with till now. After all, I treated NS like bonding sessions with others, just like how senior citizens bond themselves in the void decks or day care centres.
