Just returned from a USMC Combat Helicopter Reunion. A Pilot I flew with in VietNam came up and ask if I was Charlie Baker. I said yes, and he showed me a picture that was taken in 1966 that showed the day we crashed in the MINE FIELD at the north end of the runway at Phu Bai. I had jumped out of the helicopter to check damage, when I looked down I saw the right landing gear had kicked up a Bouncing Betty mine. Needless to say my drawers turned instant brown.
