Just returned from my 2 week check up after starting Gleevec. She said I have the bad kind of mutation. C-Kit Exon 9 mutation and PDGFRA exon 18 D842 mutation. I remember seeing information about this in the website. She double my dosage to 800 mg to see if I react to this. She has no problem with me seeing a Specialist and welcomes talking to one as I am only her second patient with GIST. Those that take 2 pills of Gleevec do you take them both at the same time of split between morning and night?
