Just returned from my 7500 km roundtrip to Ayers rock via Broken - TopicsExpress

Just returned from my 7500 km roundtrip to Ayers rock via Broken hill, Flinders, oodnadatta track and pretty tired but happy! No mishaps and the Tenere performed flawlessly! It was hard work at times and managed to get stuck in mud at Marree after a thunderstorm! Had a few hundred sandy sections and happy I chose the heidenau k60 over the metzeler tourance. After 7500 km the Heidis still got some life left in them. Prior to the trip I was worried that the Enduristan Monsoon soft panniers would hold up to the task without a pannier rack, but they did well without and I highly recommend them for the ten with stock exhaust which have a large heat shield. I will try and write up a RR over at advrider over the next week and post link here. Best ride for me was Ivanhoe to menindee and Yunta to Flinders , both easy rides but very scenic and lots of wildlife and my first feeling of remote ness. The oodnadatta was more of a dirt highway and highly corrugated for large parts, you will probably need consult your chiro when completed! Oohh yes, I will be selling the bike, enduristan soft panniers, helmet arai xd4, garmin montana600 and various gear as leaving the country soon. Hope its ok to post a few items here?
