Just returned home from our China adventure. Direct flights to and from China over the North Pole-13 hours! Enjoyed the sights around Beijing: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City and the Great Wall, Summer Palace and more. Flew to Xian for the Terra Cotta Warriors and then on to Chengdu for the Pandas. Flew to Lhasa in Tibet for the Potala Palace, home to the Dalai Lamas and witnessed the monks at Sera Monastery. Flew over to Chongqing, largest city in China at 33 million to board our boat for a 3 day cruise down the Yangtze River, through the Three Gorges ending at the giant Three Gorges dam. Flew to Shanghai for our final three days, enjoying this ultra modern city and the surrounding towns of Suzhou and Tongli, the Venice of the Orient. A few pics out of 100s to share the trip.
