Just saw a post from someone (not one of my friends but a friend of a friend) proclaiming that they would never drink Coca-Cola again based upon their commercial tonight. One of their friends agreed with them and stated that in America we speak English. One of these people is wearing a uniform and is in a branch of the US Military. This saddens me beyond words. The Coca-Cola commercial was a beautiful reminder us that our nation is full of beautiful, diverse people of all races, religions, orientations and interests who speak many languages. My own ancestors arrived here speaking Dutch, Gaelic and who knows what else. My Native American ancestors were Cherokee. Yes, Im a proud American Mutt; but thank God they were strong and withstood the bullying and bigotry that is sadly still alive and well in our beautiful country. I pray the person in the military learns tolerance, acceptance and pride for his country.
