Just saw on the news that a 27 yr old from Salina KS fulfilled his lifelong dream. He built a yellow submarine, the 1st sub ever built in the state. I immediately thought of Samuel Crook and his 2 cool teenage brothers, that let a little girl (me) hang w/ them and listen to Yellow Submarine, either 47 or 1,000 years ago. Thanks, Sam. Yellow Subs are still cool in Kansas, and your kindness impresses me still. Things were dicey across the street, but you, your bros, and your parents always made me feel welcome. I feel I can probably speak for my older brother to say he felt the same. (To the tune of the State Farm commercial) "Like a good neighbor, the Crook boys were there!" I have no idea if this is the right place to post this, but it is my status, so here it is!
