Just saw this movie. Surprisingly, its the biopic of the one who composed and sang those Christian hit songs that further ingrained my faith growing up in church. Rich Mullins roller-coaster faith journey is the essence of this biopic. The film is strong on the idea that we all need to be lovers of Jesus. And its strong on grace. However, grace often comes across as cheap here. Sinfulness doesnt carry the destructive weight that Scripture underscores. Depending on ones own faith journey, this story has the potential to help someone get out of spiritual duplicity ... or possibly become more comfortable in it. Who else has seen this movie?
