Just say NO to flash photography on dark rides! PSA from - Disney Photo Snapper ºoº There are many reasons you should head the warnings of the cast members or signs that tell you No Flash Photography. On The Little Mermaid ride, when my camera shot 2 consecutive photos and during one of them someone elses flash went off, it gave me this example. 1) It ruins the ambiance for not only the picture, but the other guests around you 2) It exposes all of the hidden speakers, outlets and other tricks that the Imagineers spent so much time hiding 3) Your picture is full of shadows and harsh lighting 4) It is terribly annoying to other guests around you! There is NOTHING worse than being stuck in a Pirates boat with someone strobing in your face the whole trip! 5) Every camera has the ability to turn the flash OFF and most modern day cameras have the ability (if you learn your camera) to take at least decent photos with no flash. If not, then sit back and enjoy the ride because that memory will most certainly be better than the picture you get out of your camera.
