Just snuck in under the wire of Obamacare! (DC exempt, asswipes!) Since 2004 chemo and radiation I have been unable to see much out of my left eye. The solution is a one time medical context lens that reshapes the cornea. (10 grand!) I have not flown anything since 2004 as I feared for other peoples safety. My eye just got fixed!.. Thank you Brooks Army medical in San Antonio! The ONLY DOD facility in the world that restores eyesight to severe cancer patients. After wearing them for three days, I got a note from Obamacare that I am not authorized to have them. So, 1/4 of my meds are tier 3 (low priority and high cost), 2 of my meds have been denied altogether and my base fees have gone up $1800 this year, and they want me to go legally blind in one eye for the rest of my days. I had better finish my PHD soon so when I age and the death boards come around I will be deemed worthy of the expense of living. George Orwell had it right. I want my country back...
