Just so you know, from Jan 1st, all ebooks will be charged VAT at 20%, just like every other book in existanc... Oh no wait, books have always had a zero VAT rate... Hmm. Surely this isnt an unjustifiable tax that 10 Downing Street are imposing on books. Its not like theyd suddenly tax people for the highly beneficial pastime of reading, is it? And they are aware that more and more text books now come in digital format, right? You wouldnt want a £99 texbook (one of many) to suddenly cost £119, would you? Because that could be seen as taxing education, couldnt it?
