Just spent about half an hour registering songs for Sententia on the APRA website. Since November 2007 I have earned the princely sum of $7.60 in royalties on film compositions. Its hardly worth the effort to register them. A total of 52 works for films gives it an average of 14c per work. This isnt to say this is APRAs fault. This is just how abysmal royalties are if you are not played constantly on radio and your songs are not featured on television shows. Which really just brings it all back to my favourite saying: PAY ARTISTS FOR THEIR WORK.
