Just spoke to the Landlord... we are all good to go and it will take a few weeks to get the zoning changed to use the space as we need to. This is going to be a place where we can help more dogs and help more families. If we were open already... I guarantee that I would have put a lot more fur kids in the car. :) Lunas house is needed so badly, there are so many wonderful dogs in our shelter system that do not get a second chance because there is nowhere for them to go to level out and get the guidance they need to have a family. Puppies like the Terrier from yesterday should not end up on the urgent lists because they have a skin infection and need some basic obedience work.... its just ridiculous. Sometimes they just need a few days in a more homey environment to level out.... and that is what Lunas house will be. We also are excited to have a base of operations for our community work... a place that can hold dogs in the event of a disaster... a place that will help so many... both human and animal.
