Just spoke with my dad - finally - theyve been without electricity and water since yesterday. He said the power of the storm wasnt as strong as Yolanda/Haiyan, but the length/duration it spent over them was twice as long. Sand and water in the house again, but not as bad. Both he and my mom are fine. Not too many details as the phone they were on ran out of load. Will update with more as soon as I hear more. Thanks everyone for your prayers and concerns.
