Just story from a WW2 veteran from Pine Point, Bill Norcross served in the South Pacific . He was in the 54th Bushmaster Battalion, Consisted of Mexicans and Indians . After each battle they fought in a few of his Indian friends and himself would gather and have a small Pow Wow. After some of the battles there would be some of the missing, They had just been K.I.A. He also carried a pipe through out the entire war that was given to him By a pine Point elder. The Bushmasters Barttalion was sent into the worst places first, It was a miracle that Bill survived this and to tell me his story 60 years later! Today we remember these warriors!
