Just thinking about this today... how hard cake decorating actually is You get people who say its just a bit of icing on a cake and you can buy a cake in Asda for quarter of the price. . .but its quite hard to learn to cover a cake even then its not just your skills that are needed your also working against the atmosphere and the dreaded elephant cracks on cakes. . . we all have bad days. . . caking is now an art form and a cake from a cake maker is bespoke where supermarkets are all the same and probably contain preservatives. . . so whats your biggest decorating nightmare?
