Just to clarify!!! We are safe!! We are in a motel full of firefighters and evacuees. There are thousands of each!! There is a mesmerizing combo of both those who are risking their lives, and those who are simply relying, on those risking their lives. We are absolutely safe!!! We have received so much support from family and friends!! Invaluable is an under-statement. Each place offered (many) is a psychological sanctuary. Options in an absolute loss of control!! Paired with that is a need to be with those who are going through the same!! Pics and stories of evac are just that!!! We would not be so well off if not for all of you!!! If we lose our home (not likely) we will be crying at your doorsteps and cope. The comfort of evac is that everyone is in the same boat. There is some comfort, healing and psychological need in that boat. It does NOT mean we are at risk!! Because of you all, we are stationed securely in a motel. Its is inconvienient, not life threatening. We are tremendously blessed with friends and family and offers!! Do not worry about us. We are alive and well. There is a tendency to write a documentary approach. Mark and I are both gifted cursed in that way. No one is in danger here. We are most worried about our dog, firefighters. We woke up to a response from friends/fam that bowled us over yesterday. For that reason we are still safe and secure in said motel loaded with fire fighters. We are also overwhelmed with support of the red cross at evac center. Simply care-givers who have difficulty accepting being on the receiving end. Aside from all the support, what supports us the most is normalcy and there is nothing normal about any of this. But on the critical scale............. we are SAFE. Lots of unknowns and unpredictables. This fire is unprecidented!! ......... Its as odd for us as for everyone. We would not be so well off, without the support you have all given and I want you to know that!!! Psychological and physical needs are something you cannot assess when your in it. We are so grateful and relieved and humbled and appreciative of every bit of the support you have all given. Please just know that we are absolutely safe. Stressed yes, no doubt, but on the sane side of sanity!! Posts are just to show the internal view without alarming. You are all awesome!! We are displaced to say the least, but not in danger at all. (WE would not do that to you or us) The friggin firefighter show is beyond belief. Our hats are off to these firefighters and rescue teams. Our situation is temporary with or without lose of home. They are permanently committed and insane........... and that is where the fascination exists for health care workers who have difficulty accepting help. Were not sleeping much but we are absolutely okay and safe! And I thank all of you so much for THAT!!!
