Just to clarify my stance on Azaadi march for all those who are - TopicsExpress

Just to clarify my stance on Azaadi march for all those who are asking; Well, I have my reasons for not supporting this marchs objective of toppling the government and some of these are as under: 1) It was PML-Ns constitutional right to make government in the center and Punjab since majority of the people voted for them.......and even without rigging (which again I have logical reasons to believe, did take place), PTI was not in a position to come to power (except in KPK). And so.....jo maira thaa hee nahee uss ka gila kia karna? 2) It will not set a good precedent for the democratic process of this country and will push us back to the politics of 90s. 3) It will give PML-N a political legitimacy to pave their way back into power again at some point in time. On the other hand if you give them full five years and they do not do well, they will be exposed (just like PPP).......On the other hand, if they do well, that would be even better. 4) This may also deprive us of a chance to see how PTI will do in the prototype Naya Pakistan (i.e. KPK) in a full five years term and whether it (PTI) can be entrusted with a government in the center or not. 5) Apparently and judging from the deadlock we are into right now, if this march succeeds....democracy may fail....and if this march fails....PTI fails.....And in both the cases, it will be a loss for this country. Only people who have some understanding of why democracy or why a vibrant political party like PTI is necessary for Pakistan. will understand what is meant by this. I believe that a better (but perhaps difficult) course for PTI would have been to prove itself in KPK and after three or four years, it shall have launched this long march only to make sure that electoral reforms are put in place before the new elections (and not because it desperately wants to topple the government). That (one point agenda of electoral reforms)...at a reasonable time...would have made this (the long march) such a justified cause that no one could have dared to denounce it. Having said that......I still cant justify that this government shall stay in power.....and the reason is not IK or PTI or Azadi march or the derailment of democracy....but.....it is the blood of 11 innocent men and women that is on this governments hands......those men and women........wo jo taareek rahoon mein maaray gaye were murdered brutally in broad day light.....and it was nothing but a crystal clear instance of state terrorism......and the responsibility lies with no one but the people in power aka Sharif Brathraan. And mind you.......where there is injustice, it doesnt matter which system is in place...be it democracy or dictatorship or khillaafat. And while all the major democratic champions (from JUI to PPP to MQM and lately India and America) are so damn united in protecting Pakistans democracy (for which they have rendered some remarkable services over the past many decades), no one is bothered by the horrible fact that this is a country that has now become accustomed to...Justice Delayed as well as Justice Denied. We are one zood-faramosh nation and this is one strange country where any life form has no value at all.....People here are so civilized that they find it more important to criticize IK for his bad language but dont say a word when 11 innocent humans are deprived of their most fundamental right....to live...yes...to live. But I am sure this too will go down the drain of our national oblivion soon. May God help us....(though its not how He operates).
