Just to clear up some air, yes we ban beggars and homeless people - TopicsExpress

Just to clear up some air, yes we ban beggars and homeless people from our establishment. But, not all of them. There is a beggar group in Fayetteville, NC that takes advantage of honest people. The honest customer comes in and wants to buy food for the beggar, Add it to my bill. they say. The beggar builds up a take out box that comes to a respected $20+. We add it to the bill. Most customers, not all, but most, do have an expression of shock and disbelief on their faces. We have actually got into arguments because of this. They agreed to pay so they have to pay. The beggar is long gone as this takes place. So they take absolutely NO responsibility for this. This used to happen around 3 times a week. So, to get rid of the problem, we get rid of the beggars. Oh, we have some very bad beggars too. Some are violent and insulting to customers, we get rid of them really quick. But anyway, we wish to give our customers a place of peace without fearing of people outside the restaurant. the reason this is being posted is because we recently had a customer come in with one of those problem beggars. She was buying him food. I, Michael (general manager), re-informed him that he is not allowed on our property, as well informed the customer of what he, and his group do to honest hard working people. She was furious about it. Because we are stopping her from doing something good. So, her and her family/friends wish to flame us on negative reviews, without any facts as to why. They only wish to hurt us due to a hot headed decision. But, shall we inform of things we have done for actual homeless people and poor families? We donate to local churches to feed poor families. I personally have fed many actual homeless people with massive amounts of food. We donate to charities of many different issues: Cancer, Leukemia, etc. We also donate to church driven thrift stores to supply less fortunate families with non-food items. I personally have donated sunglasses, clothing, and non-clothing items to Planet Aids boxes. So, as the negative reviewers say, we are heartless. Id like to look at it as protecting our customers from con-artists and crooks.
