Just to keep you informed, we attended the Parish Council meeting on January 5th and heard from a gentleman from Bidwells about plans to build 25 homes on the north side of Dereham Road, Mattishall, opposite the Gladman site. The developer is Tesni homes. We see from their website they take a similar planning approach to Gladman but with added eco claims. They plan to build in Mattishall and Watton. The planned site is approx 4 acres and includes the field on the corner of Howes Lane and another field further to the east, behind houses on Dereham Road. The initial response from the Parish Council was that they would have similar objections to that of the Gladman one, but they are unlikely to say too much until they have discussed it formally. Bidwells proposal is still at drawing board stage but they were very vague about whether they would be doing any form of consultation prior to application. As with the Abel Homes proposal for 35 houses behind Cedar Rise, there is little that can be done until we have more information and/or a planning application is in, but we will keep you in the loop.
