Just to remind you that the Residents coach tour to view possible Environmental Improvement Schemes is happening tomorrow ! The tour will take take us to look at Solon schemes where residents have suggested potential projects to improve their area. These improvements include planting of bushes and trees , fencing, increased security measures and providing benches..amongst others. We have in total £15000 to spend and hope to agree with yourselves on the day how we are going to spend it. Roughly the route for the coach trip on Thursday will be as follows : 2.00 pm leave Barton Hill – Barton Hill Settlement on Ducie Road- and go to : • Cotton Mill Lane BS5 9BX – 2.05pm • Avonvale Road BS5 9SR -2.10pm • Moorfields Close BS5 9BY -2.15pm – get off the coach and look at proposed scheme • Bluebell Close BS9 2LQ – 2.45pm • St Lawrence Court BS11 0JY – 3.00pm – look at scheme • The Quarry BS11 0QJ – 3.15pm – look at scheme • Great Swanmoor , The Lawns BS34 8 AB – 3.45 – look at scheme • Dragonfly Close BS15 8JR – 4.15 – look at scheme • Hewlett Packard Site BS16 1FQ – 4.45 • University of West of England - Itchen Room ………At around 5pm Refreshments will be available at the end of the tour. Please come along and make your feelings known and if you haven’t already suggested a scheme it is not too late as we would like to spend the money to improve as many Solon properties as possible. The coach leave Barton Hill at 2.00pm but we can pick you up or drop you off at any of the stopping points so if you can only make part of the tour then that is fine. We wish to get the views from as many of you as possible so if you cant make it on the day you can still let us have your views by calling in and speaking to either Leanne Sowersby, Resident involvement Co Ordinator or myself Darryl Harkin , Head of Housing on 0117 9244071. Dont forget there is also a meeting between 6 and 8.00pm in the Itchen Room at UWE to discuss any aspect of the service you receive from Solon – the topics could include Repairs, Anti Social Behaviour, Welfare Reforms it really is up to you ! So please come along even if it is only for a tea and a chat!
