Just wanted to provide the group with an update on my experience with tiered taping. I started out in the middle of November with tiers of 8-6-2 and have since changed to 11-8-3-2 which feels pretty good. My average in two leagues was 189 in November and it is now 197 on Tuesday nights and 193 on Wednesday nights. I used to use the same top piece for both league nights and I found that I had a much better feel on Tuesdays than I did on Wednesdays. As a result my game didnt change much on Wednesdays and I was still averaging the same 189 at the beginning of January. I began replacing the top piece before every session instead of once a week and my average has jumped 4 pins in 4 weeks on Wednesdays so as the group title says...change your damn tape!
