Just wanting to vent and see if others in District 3 agree. Why are we traveling over an hour to play other schools? The expense to travel to these games are a problem in its self. Then look at the amount of money you dont make because these other schools dont bring crowds to your schools. Its a lose lose on the money side. Now the part I really cant figure out. Our kids are getting home later and later which in turn affects their grades. Im wondering if these concerns are addressed when they start making these decisions. I just think its time we start asking questions about this whole 1 a 2 a 3 a and 4 a selection process. Its just not being smart. The argument is going to be made, I know in advance about the competitive size of schools. I disagree already because look at South Point a 4 A last year and a 3 A this year. Whatever. Then look at how competitive we are against like Woodruff and Chesnee. They are 2 a. If were going to play little 4 a teams why not play 4 a teams locally. Its sure would make more sense.
